There may be some people who would have such doubt as; a person who takes too much care of keeping own life cannot be considerate to the others.
But wise person values the honor. For this reason, wise person won't care about own life and gives one's life for what is right and die for the crisis of integrity. If one thinks of taking care of oneself and oneself alone, and tries to avoid to hurt a hair or to have scrape, this person would surely try to avoid hurting oneself when this person faces to the crisis of integrity. That is the possibility, but I'd answer to the doubt as followings.
There are status of static and dynamic. In static status you do statically and you act dynamic when you are in dynamic status. You act upon status of the honor. It is the correct behavior to stay in static while the status stays in static and you take good care of your life. It is the behavior of honor not to take care of your life while in the status of dynamic. What is required here is that you respect the honor as the status tells. And you can throw away the doubt brought up.
It is the best to follow the way as the situation or status tell and to be flexible with it. It can be said that you wear thinner in summer and wear thick in winter. The core is that you cannot behave same and you should not cling to the customs.
It is impossible to fight whenever necessary unless you keep your body in good condition and none of the bad health can fight at all. Then it is the best to take good care of yourself while in the status of static so that you can show your courage whenever required.
Know the real meaning of taking care of yourself
A person says that the art of taking care of oneself may be good for the people who has retired or is living detached from the neighboring people.
But it is not that easy for Samurai who has to be loyal to the lord, to be obedient to their parents and to work their body by learning military arts, and for the people who earns for their living by working days and nights. If those people tries to persist the art of taking care of themselves, their body as well as their skill of living may become weak and rust away their dexterity for living . But these are the doubt that people who does not know the way of taking care of themselves has.
Don't take the word wrong. The art of taking care of oneself does not mean that you stay away from the reality and lay sleep all day long. It means that you keep your mind calm and work your body. Relaxing too much of your body may induce the sickness by the stored and non-circulating inner power.
The drifting wood never decay and the axis of a door will stay. Anything that keep taking a certain load will live long and anything that does not take load won't last long. Then it is recommended to work for living. It is wrong to live playfully. This is the art of long life span.
And those are the holistic tip that keep you staying in anti aging healthy life.
It is not easy to learn the art of long life span
There are so many things that a human being is expect to accomplish and we call it the art to accomplish them. Every art has its specific way of learning. It would be difficult to accomplish if you do not know how you do it.
You won't be able to make living by singing unless you learn how to sing. Although it is not that difficult to produce a toothpick, you cannot make them a lot without learning how.
We are a part of the three that composes of this world along with the heaven and the earth. Then we are more so to keep our life with constant caring of our own body. We have to have the art. How could we survive without learning the art of living?
We seek mentor to learn such small matter as singing and cooking and learn the art of it. The reason is that we cannot make living without learning it. As the human being is the utmost existence by itself and as it is the utmost importance to keep our own body in good shape, how it would be possible at all to live without knowing the art of living. How would we be able to complete our life span given by heaven without the mentor, the guidance and the learning of it, namely without knowing the art of pursuing life span but living as you desire. Those are the reason why we must grab the art of living our life span if we wish to live and complete the life span given.
The art of living is the great tactics and is not the cheap tricks. It should be very tough to acquire its core knowledge unless you make yourself ready for it. If you were able to learn it directly from the person, it worth a trillion.
Despite the fact that your body is given by your parents, heaven and the earth as well, it is of utmost foolish if you loose your life earlier by the diseases caused by your poor behavior like taking alcohol, too much eating and the likes. It is of treating your parents as well as the heaven and the earth disrespectfully.
You would not be able to taste your life unless you live long with healthy body. It would not worth a penny if you accumulate wealth and live only a part of your given life span.
Work your body
It is the best to work your body everyday. Do not spend your day with relaxed posture a whole day. It is recommended to take a walk after every meal for several hundreds steps calmly. If it rains you can walk around inside of your room.
If you keep your body worked in the morning as well as in the afternoon, you will stay in health with good blood stream so that you will not be in need to take any medical care. It is much better than standing of pain and heat from the sickness that is the symptoms of your disease due to your neglect.
I agree with this comment 120%. You drive to your office and back. Driving is rather stressful if you do not feel that way. You are accustomed to it. Why don you not arrange a parking lot a few blocks away from your office? Or several blocks would work better.
Here is my experiences, I have started to have better bodily waste as soon as walking a little over 30 minutes from train station.
Not only that, my blood pressure eased and I have felt much better at the lunch time. Being over 50 does not require much of food and much of work out either. Just work your body. That should put you at much better mood and your family sure would appreciate it.

Do not ask for mediation but Take care not to get sick
You should realize that it is wrong to ask for a bed and medicine. You should not eat too much and do not leave yourself to your desire. If you listen to your voice of your body and get up and go to bed regularly, you would not give in the sickness.
If you do not feel like eating by having some bad feeling persists in you stomach, it will be cured by daily work and walking in the morning and evening. Further, if you stop sitting and lie on a sofa during day time you would recover from the bad feeling without any kind of medicine or treatment. This is the best way to keep you in good shape.
You should realize what medicine does is to align your inner power. If you can afford the medicine of very latest creation, you would not be recovered having wrong sort of alignment. Then having medicines that do not fit to your physical condition may turn your symptoms worse. You may have additional sickness because of it and it may decrease inner power as well.
It is sincerely recommended that you should take medicine only at your utmost urgency. It may work to stop one symptom though, the one symptom may be critical to the disease. After that, you eat and take rest correctly so that your inner power regain its power to finally heal the sickness.

Your utmost priority to lead healthy life is to keep your inner power strong. You keep your mind flexible, keeping your inner power focused, controlling you rage and desire, having less anxiety and worry, trying to avoid trouble as much as possible. If you sleep longer than necessary, your inner power will be locked up inside of you body and it may bear malice toward yourself,
If you go to bed before digesting your dinner, it results to lose your appetite and your source of power at the same time. It is the best to stop drinking alcohol at the half way to your limit and enjoys the feeling of its effect. You should not eat heartily but try to stay at 80% of your fill. The matter is to set yourself the limit on both of the alcohol and your meal and try to stay within that limit.
You should not let out your inner power by giving way to your desire while being young. The more you let out, the weaker your inner power will be and as the consequences your life become shorter.
If you act upon your desire, you will not be able to find any effective means to fulfill the lost nutrition. It won't be able to fulfill what you have lost by neither taking medicine nor having breakfast/dinner. Further you need to protect yourself from outer environment such as flue, coldness, heat and humidity and stay focused on your correct way of living. It is best to have light exercise like jogging, occasionally stroking your hip and belly, keeping your arm and feet active and keeping your blood stream smooth and make such effort to digesting what you have ate.
It is not recommended to sit at the same posture long. This is another secret of your healthy life. The core consideration of living healthy is to keep your mind and you body out from extreme of any kind. It is rather the tips of wigs as taking medicine, staying calm and keeps yourself from extremes when you get sickness. The origin of human power arises from the power of all nature. This is the very fundamental of the human being. Without the power of nature, we should not have been on this globe. We are in existence with the help of such outside power as foods, clothing and houses. The nature arises foods, clothing and houses as well. All of those matters, including your existence are the favor of the all nature and your parents.
You should not live on taking granted for such helps. The very thought of your inner power should enhance it and complete your given life while living in healthy anti-aging life.
On the other hand, if you live on matters of your outside, your inner power would lose its energy and consequently you would give out to the diseases. You would die of disease as your get serious and as you consume of all of your inner power. You would experience the serious aging power on tis way.
Here is an example of the plants. Too much water and fertilizer would arise them death. It could be concluded that the human being should stop living on their outer help. As you start living on them, you would start losing your inner power faster.

You define your life span
The heaven does not define your life span but you yourself do. It is true that you are given your life from the heaven but it lasts longer if you take good care of it, and it ends earlier if you do not.
It all depends upon your intention either having longer life or shorter life span. If you were born healthier and stronger than other people, living with your desire would shorten your life.
If you were born weak, living following guidance of this book would lengthen your life. The whole thing depends upon your intention, and then the life span cannot be defined by the heaven.
If you were born to die earlier, longing for the longer life and follow the guidance, it is possible to realize your wish. Here is an example. Let us suppose the fire on thick branches. If you bury the ignited branches in the ash of your fireplace, the fire will be there for long. If you put it on the ground where the strong wind blows, it will be dead quite soon. If you keep oranges on the counter top, they will shrivel soon. But if you keep them in the dark storage space, they may stay fresh till next spring.
The Yojokun tells you that your will, mindset, thought is the utmost importance to live. There are so many people who commit suicide. They wished death. They have not wished to see tomorrow. How would their spouses feel? How would their parents feel? All of the sentiment turns inwards. What if you look out to the world a bit? There is always the new and excitements happening, it is sad and wasteful.

Your body is designed last long
The life span of every human body has been designed last long. It is very rare a body destined to last short. Even if your body is born last long, if you donot know how to take care of it, there are chances that your body lose the power.
Your such doings as drink alcohol a lot, stay awake deep in night, try to take too much stress just for money may grind off of your life span and let you die much earlier. Do you like it?
On the other hand, if you were born weak, having heavy toll to your body, you might take care of yourself because of it. Consequently, your body last long.
You see so many examples on those two cases, right? The conclusion is that if you live as you want, you are like committing suicide. Sooner or later you will lose your power to live without a question. This explains why anti aging tactic starts with your mind. Control your power
It is best to control your power. For which, you control seven sentiments, of which you should particularly not be obsessed with rage, grief, fear and worry. It is utmost important to suppress your desire and set your mind at ease.
Further it is your benefit to keep your mind at ease and stay calm without feeling uneasiness so that you would always stay in comfortable mind status. You should not take any matter to your heart so much. All of those mental status will control your inner desire and build up your inner power. All of these doing would protect you from such outer evils as wind, cold, hot and humidity.
Your control of these inner and outer matters is the basic terms to enjoy your healthy life. You should sincerely follow these suggestions for your quality of and longer healthy life.
